A Special Memorial Show

Friends of Swing Shift,

The show this week will be a very special one.  A dear friend of the show, Salvatore Michael Valdaro, Jr. passed away on July 6th, 2011.  If you've come out to one of the shows, you more than likely had seen him.  He was gregarious, talkative and always full of opinions.

L: "Pops" Valdaro          R:  A shy, good friend

This weeks show is dedicated to him and his memory.

Pops loved Frank Sinatra and the Rat Pack, as well as the Crooners of the late 40's to the early 60's.  In his memory, those are some the types of performers we will play for you.  We'll play Rat Pack, Peggy Lee, James Darren, as well as some modern groups such as Big Bad Voodoo Daddy and Ray Gelato and his Giants.

Please join us as we celebrate the life of this remarkable man who meant a great deal to all of the cast and crew here at the Meridian Nightclub and Lounge and The Swing Shift Radio Show family.

Show time is Sundays @ 7pm, WGUN 1010 AM - Atlanta, and then again on Saturdays @ 2PM, same channel.   Or you can try and listen in over teh internet stream at TuneIn.com and search for WGUN.

Thanks again to everyone again and I look forward to sharing this great production with you!
